In the overall classification, it was the winner of the first stage, Spain’s Héctor Álvarez, who finished in the lead.

The first stage of the two-day international event in Vásárosnamény ended with a bunch sprint, with Ireland’s Seth Dunwoody finishing second and Czech Jan Podaril third – András Pakot was the best Hungarian, finishing tenth, but thanks to intermediate sprint during the stage, Zsombor Takács (MBH Bank Cycling Team) can look forward to the continuation from the best Hungarian position.

The race will start with a 136.5-kilometre field stage around the village of Vásárosénynamény, Vásárosénynamény, Hungary. The peloton will start from Szabadság Square in Vásárosnamény at 11:55 and will pass through the villages of Tákos, Csaroda, Tarpa, Tivadar, Gulács and Jánd, finishing after three laps at 15:15.
