János Pelikán and Attila Valter achieved excellent results in the Nations’ Cup in 2013 and 2016

The year 2020 was not the first time that the Hungarian national team took part of the Nations’ Cup series, but this was the year when, after almost 100 years, we were able to host another world cycling event.

A battle between Denmark and the United States was brought to the 2016 Nations’ Cup

We continue our review of the Nations’ Cup seasons of recent years. In 2016, there were already eight races in the junior age series, which, unlike usual so far, started with the one-day Belgian Gent-Wevelgem, which was recently added to the calendar and was won by the French Alexys Brunel.

There were seven competitions in the youth World Cup series in 2015, which started with the Paris-Roubaix Juniors classic, in which the Netherlands Bram Welten proved to be the best.

Nyíregyháza

The second most important city of the Northern Great Plain-region. It was mentioned for the first time with the name „Nyír” in 1209. The 7th biggest city of Hungary.

Miskolc

Set at the foot of the Bükk Mountains, Miskolc’s uniqueness lies in its four city areas, each of which has its own special atmosphere.

According to the archeological finds, it has been inhabited since ancient times. It is a settlement from the times of the early Arpad-dynasty, its first written record comes from 1214.

The name of the township is derived from the male name „Ibrahim”. The name „Ibrány” appeared for the first time in 1280 in a warrant of King Ladislaus.
