The best riders of the One Belt One Road Nations ’Cup Hungary also showed themselves at the European Championship

The city of Trento, Italy, hosted the European Road Cycling Championships from 8 to 12 September, where the best of the youth age group also competed.

Hungary was also able to join the Nations’ Cup series in 2020, namely the events of the junior – youth World Cup series. It was already clear from the composition of the peloton that the race had reached a higher level than last year. This year, several cyclists came to Hungary who, with a little exaggeration, already have a paved way to become a professional cyclist.

The second most important city of the Northern Great Plain-region. It was mentioned for the first time with the name „Nyír” in 1209. The 7th biggest city of Hungary.

Vásárosnamény

According to the archeological finds, it has been inhabited since ancient times. It is a settlement from the times of the early Arpad-dynasty, its first written record comes from 1214.

Ibrány

The name of the township is derived from the male name „Ibrahim”. The name „Ibrány” appeared for the first time in 1280 in a warrant of King Ladislaus.
