The current President of the European Cycling Union (UEC), Enrico Della Casa, formerly the Secretary-General, personally brought the contract for the 2022 European Indoor Cycling Championships to Hungary in January, with a final date of 17-18 June and a seat in Nyíregyháza.
The series of joint international road cycling competitions of the Visegrád Group member states (Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia), the Visegrád 4 Bycicle Race starts in the Czech Republic on July 9, 2022 and continues in Poland the next day. The Hungarian race will take place on 23th – the series will finish at Slovakia on 24th. The route of the Hungarian race will not change according to the plans, as usual in previous years, it will start from Budapest again and end in Pannonhalma. The competition is the highest rated one-day men’s professional race in Hungary.
Immediately after the Hungarian V4 men’s race, the Visegrad 4 Ladies Series – Hungary will be held in Pannonhalma on the next day, July 24, so after a two-year hiatus, Hungary can once again host a professional women’s road bike race.
Of course, the main organizer, the Movement Health Recreation Sports Association, will also host the Nations’ Cup Youth World Cup race in 2022, which is originally planned to be the ninth stop in the ten-round series from August 19-21. The Nations’ Cup also holds one-day and multi-day competitions, and a three-day competition called One Belt One Road Nations’ Cup Hungary will take place in Hungary. The battles include events such as the legendary youth classic Paris-Roubaix, or just one of the hottest youth multi-days, the Czech Junior Peace Race.
