The main organizer of the Visegrad 4 Kerekparverseny, the Movement Health Recreation Sports Association, postponed the competition scheduled for 19 August 2020 to the 2021 season, due to the limitations of the coronavirus situation, but fortunately successfully hosted the first Hungarian Junior Nations’ Cup race.
The Visegrád Group’s joint cycling series, the Visegrád 4 Cycling Race, will start in Hungary on July 10, 2021, and will continue in Slovakia the next day, while the Czech and final Polish races will take place on July 17 and 18.
The route of the Hungarian race will not change according to the plans, as usual in previous years, it will start from Budapest and end in Pannonhalma. The competition, of course, is still ranked 1.2 on the international federation’s calendar.
The Visegrad 4 Juniors cycling race took place between 26 and 28 August, which was the first Junior Nations’ Cup race in Hungary. Hungary can host the ninth round of the ten-turn series between August 20 and 22 in the 2021 season. The Nations’ Cup series also holds one-day and multi-day races, and a three-day Hungarian competition called One Road One Belt Juniors will take place in Hungary. Among the races of the series, legendary junior events such as the classic ”Gent-Wevelgem” and ”Paris-Roubaix” or the one of the most noted junior stage race, the Czech Junior Course de la Paix can be found.
