In addition to the national team, this year the MKB Cycling Team from Kecskemét will also be competing.
At the first World Cup in Hungary in 2020, Bence Mészáros won the distinctive jersey for the best Hungarian cyclist, while a year later Zétény Szijártó took over the baton from him. Of this year’s squad, the pair of Márk Takács-Valent and Bálint Kárpáti are perhaps the most notable, and they are certainly ready to take on the international elite.

For the 2022 season, Hungary will host the ninth leg of the ten-round series from 17 to 20 August. The race will start with a 3.8-kilometre prologue in Nyíregyháza, followed by a 111.6-kilometre road stage the next day between the county center and Ibrány. On the final day, the caravan will cycle 117.4 kilometres between Vásárosnamény and Nyíregyháza.
