Keeping in mind and fully respecting the orders of the Hungarian Government issued for the period of the state of emergency and special legal order, MER SE has been continuously looking for the new dates of the race.
The International Cycling Union (UCI) published its revised World Tour race calendar on 5 May which predicts 1 July as the possible starting date for the re-start of international cycling races. On the basis of the order of the Hungarian Government on the restrictions for the summer period – according to which basically no outdoor sports event is allowed –, MER SE counts with the dates of 26-28 August 2020 for the realisation of the Junior World Cup.
The international junior race series comes to Hungary for the first time, so our country can organise a world-level cycling race for the first time after about 100 years in the history of the sport.
