The peloton raced 280 km in 3 days. The Visegrad 4 Juniors Nations’ Cup began with a 95-kilometer stage between Vásárosnamény and Nyíregyháza. The next day there was two halves stage, firstly in the morning a four-and-a-half-kilometer individual time trial in the center of Nyíregyháza, while in the afternoon a 73.2-kilometer road race awaited cyclists around Ibrány. On the third and closing stage, the caravan rolled again between Vásárosnamény and Nyíregyháza, this time covered 107.3 kilometers.
The star of the race was Tobias Lund Andresen from Denmark, who won all the stages, and although the German and Italian national teams tried their best, they could not take the overall victory away from him.
„I owe a lot to the team, without them I would not have been able to win a single stage. I felt good throughout the race. I came to Hungary for that purpose, that I want to win at least one stage, but when I was the first to cross the finish line for the fourth time, I just looked at my teammates in disbelief, it surpassed all my dreams. Every stage was completed perfectly, amazing race and very well organised” – said Tobias Lund Andresen after the race, who also won two stages in the Swiss GP Rüebliland youth race in early September.
The German Luca Dressler won the points race, the best Czech cyclist was Stepan Siroky, the best Polish was Julian Kot, the best Slovak was Timotej Piliarkin, while the best Hungarian cyclist became Bence Mészáros.
