The 2015 Nations’ Cup series was loud about the strength of the U.S. riders

There were seven competitions in the youth World Cup series in 2015, which started with the Paris-Roubaix Juniors classic, in which the Netherlands Bram Welten proved to be the best.

Welten had a pretty wavy career after his success, he eventually found his place in the elite peloton, he is riding today the French ProTeam, Arkea-Samsic.

The 2015 Nations’ Cup series brought a balanced fight, only Adrien Costa – who was hailed as the greatest talent in the United States –, was able to stand out from the bunch, winning both the Tour du Pays de Vaud in Switzerland and the Tour de l’Abitibi in Canada, while he was second of the Czech Republic In the Course de la Paix race. Costa, as one of the biggest emerging youngsters in the sport, soon showed his qualities, excelled at the World Championships in September, and a year later as an staigiare on the Quick-Step team. Unfortunately, he took a break from his career in 2017, due to the pressure on him, and then in July 2018, he lost his right leg from the knee down due to a climbing accident, so his cycling talent was forgotten.

Looking at the other races of the season, the French Trophée Center Morbihan was won by Anton Charming from Denmark, who just started unfolding his wings in the elite in the colors of the Uno-X Pro Cycling Team this season. Luxembourg GP Général Patton brought the triumph of Marc Hirschi (now UAE Team Emirates), while German Trofeo Karlsberg’s yellow jersey stayed home through Patrick Haller – he is racing in continental team Leopard Pro Cycling in 2021.

This year World Cup-series, where only nations are ranked, was won by the USA, led mainly by Costa and Brandon McNulty (now UAE Team Emirates).
