In the Juniors’ World Cup series, the International Cycling Union draws up a ranking of nations which, in the 2019 season, was ended with the decisive victory of Germany coming first before the youngsters of the USA with an advantage of 60 points. The youngest and most successful member of this German team was Marco Brenner who alone collected more points last year than the Czech Republic finishing at the 9th place.
In the past season, he had 20 victories, among which you can find from the Nations’ Cup the Swiss stage race Tour du Pays de Vaud and the Luxemburgish one-day race GP Général Patton. At the same time, he became champion both in the road and the individual time trial national championships, and he also gained victory in the Cyclo-cross National Championships.
His talent is unmined, that’s why Team Sunweb, a WorldTour team has already signed with him a quite unusual contract in the world of cycling, a contract that will last from 2021 to the end of the 2024 season.

The German national team will arrive at the first Hungarian juniors’ world cup event with a super-strong team which, of course, will be led by Marco Brenner.
The international juniors’ race will come for the first time to Hungary which will be able to organise a world-level competition for the first time after 100 years in the history of cycling sport. The events of the Nations’ Cup will be attended by national and regional teams. The competition held between 26-28 August will be made up of 3 road stages and 1 individual time trial.
