French continental team signs the 2022 Hungarian Nations’ Cup winner

Poland’s Hubert Grygowski will continue his career with CIC U Nantes Atlantique.

Published: December 18, 2022

As you may recall, the 2022 Hungarian Nations’ Cup ended on 19 August with a 117.4-kilometre stage between Vásárosnamény and Nyíregyháza, which resulted in a Polish stage win – and Hubert Grygowski also won the overall.

– I crashed in a corner on the same stage last year, so I wanted to come back and get my revenge. I think I did that. We had a great race, we had the yellow jersey all the way, we won the team race and we also took the green jersey. I have to thank all my teammates, everyone gave their best,” said the rider, who is a member of the club’s youth team Akademia Copernicus CCC Torun and will start his first U23 season in 2023 in France, with CIC U Nantes Atlantique.

Stéphane André’s team was formed in 2013 and although he has not won a UCI race this season, he has had some success with Axel Mariault and Emmanuel Morin, to the point where Mariault will be riding for Cofidis in the top class next year.
